Wheat & Water opened in November 2016 with a mission to keep things simple – tasty eats, great drinks and stellar service. We believe food tastes better when it’s made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, and it’s even more satisfying when it features familiar flavors that remind you of home. About Chef Christian Fiol
Christian Fiol is the kind of chef who knows how to create delicious food through thoughtfully including ingredients from his past, passion and personality into each dish. He’s added flavors from his grandmother’s kitchen in TJ and introduced new techniques gleaned from experiences working with top San Diego restaurant groups like Cucina Urbana, The Patio Group and Georges at the Cove. Locals love his Brussels Sprouts & Potatoes in chile de arbol vinaigrette or his Mexican-influenced pizza with braised pork in salsa verde. With each new bite, guests rave about his Spanish Octopus and house specials like Yellowtail Crudo or Steak Frites. Wheat & Water is both lucky and happy to have him as Executive Chef, and we know you’ll join us in looking forward to what he creates in the future.
